About Us

Through the development of a shared vocabulary and comprehension of hardship over the past two years, Resilient and United Communities of South Georgia has raised the level of awareness of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), trauma, and resiliency in our community. In order to strengthen and broaden these initiatives in years three and four, the coalition wants to increase the breadth and depth of Resilient and United Communities of South Georgia within our Resilient Georgia coalition's eight-county region across the following counties: Atkinson, Berrien, Brooks, Clinch, Cook, Echols,

Lanier, and Lowndes Counties.

Our Goals for Years 3 and 4 are as follows:

  • Continue building a Trauma-Informed Community

  • Improve Resiliency using the Community Resiliency Model

  • Continue to create awareness and aid the prevention of childhood Trauma: ACE’s prevention

  • Promote Positive Childhood Experiences
